One of the most important things we can do for our children is to pray for them. As parents and grandparents, we have been given the incredible opportunity to make a difference in the world by raising our children to be Christ followers. The hallmarks of a Christ follower is someone who loves like Jesus, lives like Jesus and prays like Jesus. The world needs more Christ followers. We can start our children off early in life by praying strategically. There are some many messages and influences that bombard our children today. We have to do everything we can to protect their souls. Our kids need our prayers. It is one of the most important gifts we can give them in this life.
We must always remember that our children belong to God, they are his children. No matter how old they are, what they have experience, what is yet to come, they are loved and secure in his care. They are in God’s hands and he has a purpose for them. He is with them, even when we are not.
The world can be a dark and scary place these days. It is important to remember that God calls us to “Be the Light”. Praying for our children is our call to action. It is what we can do daily. I urge you to use this prayer for my children daily as you raise little disciples of Jesus.
